Case Study: Salt Lake City Airport & SensaMist®

Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
Salt Lake City Airport

Challenges at a glance

The first terminal and airport administration building at Salt Lake City Airport was built in 1933. It is located about 4 miles west of Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, in the USA.

The airport is the closest commercial airport for more than 2.5 million people and is within a 30-minute drive of nearly 1.3 million jobs. SLC were using a fan unit with a wafer like air freshener refill that just wasn't hitting the spot or doing the job effectively in all their terminal restrooms.

The airport were looking for an effective scenting system that had both style and impact options at an affordable price.

Scent solutions

Through our local distributor, we suggested using the SensaMist® S100 for its modern design and power over battery option.

The non-aerosol aspect and the fact fragrances were VOC exempt - an important environmental feature when selecting fragrance options for busy public spaces - was also an important deciding factor. The power option provides 6W of power to the device.

No battries are needed and there are no waste disposal issues. The power maximizes coverage performance and concentration. Along with being VOC exempt, all fragrances contain Airadicate® malodor counteractant to help stop bad odors.

What they said

"We chose the SensaMist® S100 unit because of its sleek design, power option, pricing, the fact that it was a non-aerosol scent system, and because it offered customizable fragrance."
