Eko Hotels & Suites has 824 bedrooms, eight restaurants and seven bars. Its conference and banqueting facilities have a capacity of 7,000 seats. Eko Hotels & Suites is known for hosting most of the major events in Nigeria and West Africa.
From conferences to exhibitions and entertainment, to important Government functions, Eko sees millions of people step foot in its hotel throughout the year.
One of its biggest challenges is to maintain clean and refreshing washrooms for such a high number of people, and because it is such a well established hotel, the expectation of creating a good first impression is even higher than usual.
Even with constant cleaning, the washrooms are faced with unpleasant odours resulting from uric acid build up inside the pipes and drains. Due to the volume of foot traffic it has become even more difficult to maintain a proper cleaning schedule in recommended intervals.

Eko Hotels and Suites chose Vectair products managed by Swissmarkk – a service company in Lagos responsible for changing refills at the end of every 30 or 60 day cycle. The number of Eko Hotels and Suites staff assigned to keep the washrooms clean and refreshing was reduced by employing Swissmarkk as its service provider.
Eko Hotels and Suites installed a range of Vectair Washroom products to fulfill their requirements.
The Airoma® Aerosol Dispenser and Floral Silk aerosol refill, was installed to provide fresh and consistent programmable fragrance to washroom areas. Small bursts of fragrance at timed intervals were able to boost fragrance for the facility when needed.
Eko Hotels and Suites installed Quadrasan® cleaning & dosing dispenser, providing continuous programmable maintenance ensuring toilet and urinal fixtures remain clean. V-Screen® urinal screens were placed in urinals to prevent drain blockages and combat bad odours.
The multi-award winning & carbon neutral V-Air® SOLID multi-phasing passive air freshener was installed to provide fresh and consistent fragrance without using aerosols or propellants. All it required was airflow in the washrooms to operate for up to 60 days per refill.
