Crohn’s & Colitis UK.

The Crohn’s & Colitis UK Walk It campaign encourages its 33,000 members and their friends and families to walk either 5k or 10k in eight locations across the UK, to help raise money and awareness of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

Walks take place all over the UK annually. Vectair Systems were delighted to be involved as a 2017 sponsor via our Phew!® brand of natural toilet spray. Bottles of Phew!® featured in the toilets set up along the London 'Walk It' route, for walkers should they had needed it. Sam Afhim, Director of Income Generation at Crohn’s and Colitis UK said:

People living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease such as Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis can be very disadvantaged by the impact of their condition. The experience or fear of unpredictably having to use the bathroom is very undermining to a person’s confidence and self-esteem and can lead in some cases to the person affected becoming too anxious to leave their home. Having these toilets at our events will hopefully ease the anxiety for people living with a chronic health conditions and encourage more people to take part in these community events.”
