Earth Day – Happy 50th Anniversary

Vectair would like to say happy anniversary to our beloved Earth. Today, Wednesday 22nd April, marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day.

It is imperative to be on the forefront of advances in technology, in order to evaluate the impact of the aircare & hygiene products on Earth. As a business, Vectair Systems have a commitment to the Earth and to customers to being responsible. The Company ensure when products are launched to the industry, they are proven, pioneering and responsible goods.

To celebrate Earth Day, the Company have created some fun facts about Earth that you may not know and seeing as it’s Earth Day, also created a playlist on their Spotify Page including songs that represent the world and the Earth.

Fun Facts

• Earth’s Core Is as hot as the sun’s surface – the temperature at the core of the Earth is the same as the temperature at the surface of the sun. At about almost 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Earthquake weather is a myth – earthquakes are below the surface and need a constant fault to happen – nothing of the Earth’s doing.
• We’re the third rock from the sun – Earth, is the third planet from the sun. Earth is one of the four terrestrial planet – the others are Mercury, Venus and Mars. It is rocky at the surface.
• Earth is on the move – we are actually moving, even when we are standing still. Well, the Earth is anyway. Depending on where you are, you could be spinning through space at just over 1,000 miles per hour. People on the equator move the fastest, while someone standing on the North or South pole would be still.

• Earth is old – the Earth is about 4.54 billion years old.
• Earth is actually recycled – the rock cycle of Earth transforms igneous rocks to sedimentary rocks to metamorphic rocks and back again.
• 1960 Valdivia Earthquake – the world’s largest earthquake occurred on 22nd May, 1960 near Valdivia, in southern Chile. It had a magnitude of 9.5 as measured by the United States Geological Survey. It is the largest known Earthquake to have an instrumentally documented magnitude.
