Vectair has been announced as the winner of the ‘Best Sponsorship or Partnership’ award for its long-standing charity partnership with The Eve Appeal, in the very first Technology & Marketing Awards.
Organised by LaCerta, the awards were free to enter and were a chance for marketing & PR professionals, leaders, CEO’s or anyone working on exciting campaigns in the cleaning, hygiene and facilities management sectors to showcase and share their success.
A long line-up of high-profile judges from top companies, including Universal Pictures, Samsung, England Rugby and Nespresso helped select the winners after considering factors like overall strategy, communication and creativity.
The judges commented: “Each year in the UK, over 21,000 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer. Sadly, each day, 21 of these women die. Vectair’s campaign with The Eve Appeal to raise awareness in women’s washrooms, encouraging women in a safe and private environment to check for signs and symptoms of these diseases, really has an impact.
It was a wonderful idea to combine Vectair’s Femcare™ MVP sanitary unit with an Eve Appeal sticker. Not only that, but with a donation of 50p from the sale of every sanitary bin they sell within the UK to the Eve Appeal charity, the charity has extra funds to continue its life saving research.”
Rosa Frisso-Lacey, Public Fundraising Manager, The Eve Appeal says: “Since Vectair started supporting The Eve Appeal, they have raised a tremendous £14,818.50. Their support helps to fund life-saving research, raise awareness and bring us closer to a world where fewer women develop, and more women survive, gynaecological cancers.”
